Our Mission
War on Alzheimer's is dedicated to eradicating Alzheimer's disease through groundbreaking research support, support for those affected, and relentless advocacy for a cure. Our mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities to join the fight against Alzheimer’s, turning hope into action until we achieve our vision of a world without this disease.
What We Do
We create connections, help people with Alzheimer's, and help fund Alzheimer's research through a game. A simple and powerful idea was born when we saw that the card game War helped us spend meaningful time with our grandmother and helped her exercise her mind. We decided to create a deck of cards that can be used in many ways, including War, to help fund important research to eradicate Alzheimer's disease.
Our Story
War On Alzheimer's was created by Sienna and Chase Taylor. Their story started with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's in their grandmother. The two learned more about Alzheimer's and about how it afflicted several extended family members given the impact of family genetics.
While the disease progressed rapidly in their grandmother, one thing they could do consistently was play the simple card game of War with their grandmother. The game created a moment of connection, helped their grandmother use her mind, and was a way to have fun with someone who was slipping away.
